How To Choose A Centrifugal Pump For Sewage Treatment Equipment
Environmental protection issues are becoming increasingly important, water pollution is becoming more and more serious, and the emergence of sewage treatment equipment gives hope for improvement of water pollution. The centrifugal pump is an important part of sewage treatment equipment, so how to choose a centrifugal pump for sewage treatment equipment? I will introduce several methods for you.
The centrifugal pump should be selected according to the process flow, water supply and drainage requirements, from five aspects, namely flow, head, liquid properties, piping layout and operating conditions.
1. Flow rate is one of the important data for choosing a centrifugal pump, and it is directly related to the production capacity and conveying capacity of the entire sewage treatment plant. When selecting the pump, take the maximum flow rate as the basis and take into account the normal flow rate. When there is no maximum flow rate, take 1.1 times the normal flow rate as the maximum flow rate.
2. The head is another key data for choosing a centrifugal pump, and the head is usually selected by magnifying the 5%-10% margin.
3. Liquid properties include the name, physical properties, chemical properties, and other characteristics of the liquid medium. The physical properties include temperature, density, year, solid particle diameter and gas content in the medium, etc. This relates to the lift and chemical properties of the system. The chemical corrosiveness and toxicity of the liquid medium is an important basis for the selection of pump materials and which type of shaft seal to choose.
4. The pipeline layout conditions refer to the height, distance and direction of the liquid to be transported, the lowest liquid level on the suction side, the highest liquid level on the discharge side, and some data and the specifications of the pipeline, as well as the length, material, pipe fitting specifications, quantity, etc.
5. Operating conditions. This should be decided according to some conditions on the spot. Such as altitude conditions, ambient temperature, intermittent operation or continuous operation, and whether the position of the pump should be fixed or moved.
