The Difference Between Submerged Slurry Pump And Submersible Slurry Pump

Both submersible slurry pumps and submersible slurry pumps can work submerged, but what is the difference between the two? Next, I will give you a specific introduction.

The submerged slurry pump is a vertical centrifugal slurry pump, suitable for conveying abrasive, coarse particles, and high-concentration slurry. The pump is generally immersed in a pool or pit to work. It does not need any shaft seal and shaft seal water, and it can work normally under the conditions of insufficient suction. It is suitable for conveying abrasive slag and is widely used in metallurgy, mining, coal, electric power, building materials and other sectors.

The submersible slurry pump is a new type of slurry pump developed in recent years to meet the needs of users. The specifications and model of the submersible slurry pump applicable to a wide range of markets are: ZJQ series submersible slurry pumps. Different from the traditional horizontal slurry pump and submerged slurry pump, it can be fully immersed in the liquid during operation. In addition to transporting conventional slurry, it can also be used as a submersible sand pump on a ship.

The difference between submerged slurry pump and submersible slurry pump:

1. The two submersible slurry pumps are not completely submerged in the liquid. The pump head part is submerged in the liquid, while the motor end is above the liquid, while the submersible slurry pump can be completely submerged in the liquid to work, including Motor part.

2. The operating depths of the two are different. The submerged slurry pump developed by our company can run up to 12 meters, while the ordinary submerged slurry pump can only operate at a depth of 3 meters. The working depth of the submersible slurry pump is currently up to 25 meters.

3. The installation methods of the two are different. The submersible slurry pump needs to be fixedly installed when working, and there must be a platform for installation in the liquid surface part, while the submersible slurry pump does not need to be installed on the platform, and can be operated directly by immersing in the liquid.

4. The two have different requirements on the motor. The motor of the submersible slurry pump can use an ordinary motor without waterproofing. However, the motor shaft of the submersible slurry pump and the pump shaft are coaxial, and the motor must be waterproof and sealed.
