Problems caused by improper operation of slurry pumps and their solutions
No matter what the machine is, if it is improperly operated, it will cause some problems. The following editor will introduce the problems and solutions caused by improper operation of the slurry pump.
1. The improper sequence of opening and closing the valve causes problems when starting and stopping.
Starting sequence: check the status of the inlet and outlet valves (closed)-open the clean water inlet valve-open the atmospheric cooling water valve (auxiliary impeller seal or mechanical seal) or shaft seal water valve (check the water pressure)-open the pump to stable operation-open the slag As soon as the inlet valve of the slurry pump closes the clear water inlet gate valve, the outlet valve opens.
Shutdown sequence: open the inlet clean water valve, close the inlet pipeline valve (flush for 2 to 5 minutes), close the outlet valve, shut down, close the shaft seal water or atmospheric cooling water, and close the inlet clean water valve.
2. The motor reverses, causing the impeller to fall off or even break.
After the motor is reversed, the impeller falls off and the pump cannot rotate. In severe cases, the impeller and guard plate will be broken and the loss will be great. The installation manual stipulates that before the pump is running, the steering of the motor must be measured, the steering is correct, the coupling pin is inserted, and the manual cranking (rotating the coupling) is not obstructed before the pump can be turned on.
3. Do not add circulating water, or add water improperly.
For water-cooled mechanical seals, the circulating water must be turned on first, and then the pump must be turned on. For the packing of sealing water, the water must be boiled before the pump, and the water pressure must be higher than the pressure in the pump cavity, otherwise it will cause backflow; when shutting down, close the valve first, then stop the pump, and then stop after the material is discharged. water. Otherwise, it will cause backflow.
